Scope of Work and Project Improvements

In June 2025, the District completed Phase 1 of the North Jetty Revetment Improvement Project, rebuilding and improving 210 feet of the jetty. The North Jetty Improvement Project – Phase 2 and 3 continues the rehabilitation of the Sebastian Inlet North Jetty structure.  Phase 2 and 3 portions of the project entails:

  • Installation of 48 pre-stressed concrete piles
  • Placement of concrete beams
  • Construction of new jetty decking
  • Installation of supplemental four-foot diameter granite armor stone and three-foot diameter crib stone 

The Sebastian Inlet Commission awarded the project to Shoreline Foundation, Inc. Construction is anticipated to begin in January 2027, at which time the north jetty will be closed to the public for safety reasons. The project is anticipated for compltion in July 2028.
